"But it does mean that they share, without partiality, the modest provisions of food, shelter, and expense remimbursement that are made for all in such service."
What about travel ? Raymond Franz reports in his books that he and all the GB members often took 'Zone Trips' - and it sounds like these were no low-cost affairs at times. Some of the brothers that I knew at Bethel could not afford to make it there without help from home - the weekly cost of subway fare was actually more than they were given - and they had to make meetings at congregations throughout NY three times a week. They sometimes had to hitch-hike to get home on vacations.
Equal treatment? I doubt that.
